Revival of Captain Planet Animated Series
Captain Planet, known to 90s kids, is making a comeback with a live-action adaptation by Netflix and Leonardo DiCaprio.
The animated series, spanning six seasons, follows Captain Planet and a group of teenagers as they battle villains committing ecological crimes. These teens, each with elemental powers, can combine forces to summon Captain Planet to face major threats.
The live-action adaptation of Captain Planet is currently being written by Tara Hernandez, with executive producers Greg Berlanti and Leonardo DiCaprio. Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, and Jennifer Davisson are also involved in the production through Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
