The end of EA Sports WRC and Codemasters rally games
The Electronic Arts and Codemasters have announced the end of their efforts in the WRC license and rally games. In an official statement, both companies revealed that they will no longer work on WRC. The recent Hard Chargers pack is the final content created for EA Sports WRC and will be the last effort in the rally genre for the developer.
Future rally games are on hold, EA Sports WRC will remain available to players, but don’t expect to see a new DiRT or EA Sports WRC in the coming years. It’s probably best not to even expect new games in these series.
