Microsoft recently announced the closure of several studios, including Arkane Austin, Alpha Dog Studios, and Tango Gameworks.
Shinji Mikami comments on Tango Gameworks closure
Tango Gameworks, responsible for high-caliber games such as The Evil Within saga, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and the acclaimed Hi-Fi Rush, saw its co-founder Shinji Mikami comment on the closure on his official X platform account, confirming the news and expressing his sadness. It is worth noting that Mikami announced his departure from Tango Gameworks in 2023.
Shinji Mikami, known as the creator of the Resident Evil saga, worked on the original game as well as the acclaimed Resident Evil 4. The closure of Tango Gameworks shook the gaming world, especially since Hi-Fi Rush was well-received by players and critics, recently receiving a version for the PS5.
