Crunchyroll Announces Restructuring Plan
The Crunchyroll, a company owned by Sony, is going to say goodbye to several employees as part of a restructuring plan that includes hiring new staff outside of the United States.
Focus on Growth in Brazil, Europe, Mexico, and India
Rahul Purini, Crunchyroll’s president, shared this news with employees, as reported by Variety, but the exact number of people being let go wasn’t disclosed. This move is tied to a plan to focus more on territories like Brazil, Europe, Mexico, and India, where the service is experiencing significant growth.
Purini mentioned that after mapping out the next 5 years for Crunchyroll, they feel that this is the best path forward for the company and its service. This shift will allow them to create teams dedicated to different regions, enabling better communication with the communities in those areas.
