Microsoft Gaming has announced that its ROG Xbox Ally X is sold out worldwide in their Xbox Store, recommending checking the official Asus store to try to purchase one or contact a local store. Scheduled for release on October 16, 2025, the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handhelds will allow you to play Game Pass, Xbox, Battle.net, Epic Games Store, and Steam games on a single portable device. Surprisingly, it is the more expensive model that is attracting more attention.
The Xbox social media page X states that “the hype is real” as they have no more units of the €899 ROG Xbox Ally X available for reservation, while the €599 version of the ROG Xbox Ally is still available in their store. Anyone looking for a unit of the more powerful version of these handhelds will have to turn to the Asus store or speak to their favorite retailer.
In a time when gaming prices are increasingly making headlines, it is surprising to see that the demand for the more expensive model is higher than the cheaper one. However, Microsoft assures that the hype is real and fans are captivated by the charms of the ROG Xbox Ally X.
