New Attempt to Recreate Grand Theft Auto 6 Map in GTA 5
A player tried to recreate the Grand Theft Auto 6 map in GTA 5, but was notified by Take-Two’s legal department, the owner of Rockstar Games, to cease their efforts and remove the content from their Youtube channel.
Dark Space’s Efforts
Dark Space, the name of the Youtuber and modder responsible for trying to recreate the GTA 6 map in GTA 5, based on the work of the Mapping Vice City project, has been working on this effort since January, but was notified to stop his activity.
The community project, which analyzes the materials of GTA 6 already shared to recreate the map in the existing GTA 5, was the basis of his work, but now Dark Space is in talks with Take-Two’s legal team.
According to him, this is a passion project and not for profit, but his video was subject to a removal request by Take-Two, without any warning, which demotivated him. This prompted him to remove the links to download his work to avoid legal issues.
The Youtuber and Modder admits that he knew this could happen when he started the project, especially because his work could end up harming the revelations prepared for GTA 6, so he wants to avoid any legal troubles.
