Controls and Gameplay
Drag x Drive is clearly a Nintendo game with its easy-to-play mechanics and simple controls. You move the chairs using motion controls with the Joy-Cons, pass the ball with L+R, and shoot by lifting one of the Joy-Cons. It’s a straightforward concept that is easy to explain and grasp, making it accessible to players of all skill levels.
Lack of Content
Despite its €19.99 price tag, Drag x Drive lacks substantial content. It offers offline matches, mini-games for mastering controls, and online play, but it may leave players feeling like there isn’t enough to keep them engaged. Customization items are the only real incentive, but they may not be enough to sustain interest over time.
Aesthetic Problems
Compared to other Nintendo titles like Splatoon and ARMS, Drag x Drive falls short in terms of visual appeal. The game’s grey and unappealing arena lacks the vibrant charm and energy typically associated with Nintendo games. This lack of personality may leave players feeling underwhelmed and less likely to remember the game after putting down the controller.
