EA Sports FC 24 Sales Analysis
EA Sports FC 24 is Electronic Arts’ first football game after ending its partnership with FIFA, and according to initial sales information in the UK, it sold fewer physical units than last year’s game.
Chris Dring from GI.biz shared that EA Sports FC 24 sold 30% fewer physical units than FIFA 23, with only the Nintendo Switch version showing an increase (9%) in sales compared to the EA Sports game released in 2022.
Despite this, EA Sports FC 24 became the 2nd best physical launch of the year in the UK, surpassing Hogwarts Legacy and only trailing Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Future Sales Expectations
According to Dring, who recently spoke with EA Sports about the beginning of this new era, the company expects a slight impact on sales related to the name change.
However, the company anticipates selling more units in digital format and aims to maintain a strong sales pace in the coming months.
