The Electronic Arts has quietly revealed that some of its classic titles from the Xbox 360/PS3 era will have their servers shut down later this year, including Crysis 3, Dead Space 2, and Dante’s Inferno.
While the publisher has not made an official announcement yet, the closure of the servers for these games is already listed on its official website.
The first game to lose its servers is Crysis 3, which will be shut down in less than a month, on September 7th. Dead Space 2 and Dante’s Inferno will have their online servers turned off about two months later, on December 8th, along with several Battlefield titles, including Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield: Bad Company 1 and 2.
If you still play the multiplayer of any of these games, you won’t be able to do so for much longer, so make the most of it while you can!
However, considering that these games are already many years old, it’s possible that their communities are very small or even non-existent. Perhaps you didn’t even know that they have some multiplayer modes.
