After the launch of Elden Ring: Nightreign, the cooperative experience set in the Elden Ring universe, FromSoftware appears to be gearing up for the release of the original game on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
Elden Ring Coming to Nintendo Switch 2
Announced during the Nintendo Switch 2 presentation event in April, Elden Ring is set to make its way to the new Nintendo console in a version that will include the highly acclaimed expansion of the game. The release is expected sometime in 2025, although Bandai Namco has yet to confirm an official release date.
The ESRB has already rated the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, a necessary step in classifying video games based on age for the United States market. This rating suggests that the development of the Switch 2 version of Elden Ring is complete, paving the way for Bandai Namco to announce the release date soon.
Bandai Namco Summer Showcase
Bandai Namco has scheduled a summer showcase for July 2, which could potentially serve as the platform for unveiling the official release date for Elden Ring on the Nintendo Switch 2.
