Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree wins Best Expansion at Golden Joystick Awards 2024
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree was one of the big winners at the 2024 Golden Joystick Awards, winning the Best Expansion award.
Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of Elden Ring and head of FromSoftware, appeared in a video to thank the award, but took the opportunity to give a glimpse into the future of the studio.
“Today, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible honor of receiving the Best Expansion award for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC of Elden Ring,” Miyazaki says at the beginning.
In the video, which you can watch below, the director also apologizes for the long wait for the DLC, which arrived two years after the original release of Elden Ring.
“The incredible support Elden Ring has received has become a huge source of strength for FromSoftware as we look to the future. We are currently working on several new projects and hope you will like what we have planned. Thank you once again for this incredible honor.”
Unfortunately, nothing was revealed regarding these projects from FromSoftware, so we will have to wait for more official information.
