Capcom recently announced a collaboration with the famous Ninja Turtles from Nickelodeon in Street Fighter 6, in the form of various cosmetic items to customize your avatar and player profile, but did not reveal how you could obtain the items.
The arrival of these cosmetics in the game revealed that they can only be purchased with Fighter Coins, the digital currency of Street Fighter 6 acquired with real money, and there is currently no way to purchase any of the digital items without paying real money.
This means paying about 15 euros to get one of the four Ninja Turtles outfits (they are not characters, just skins). VGC did the math and shows that each outfit costs 750 Fighter Coins, around 14.97 euros, which means spending close to 60 euros on four digital outfits, almost as much as the game itself.
You can buy only the 4 Ninja Turtles masks for 250 Fighter Coins (5 euros each), a total of 20 euros if you want all four, sticker sets for 100 Fighter Coins (about 1.25 euros), taunts for 250 FC (5 euros), camera frames and wallpapers for the in-game phone for 100 Fighter Coins each.
All in all, all the items in this collaboration cost 5300 Fighter Coins, around 99.98 euros, a price higher than the game itself and that could easily leave some players confused.
It is possible to earn Fighter Coins in the Premium version of each Battle Pass, but the battle pass itself is purchased with real money and the amount of Fighter Coins earned in each battle pass only allows you to buy one outfit.
