Hwang Dong-hyuk’s Drastic Change in the Ending
Since the arrival of Squid Game Season 3 on Netflix, fans who have already seen all the episodes are expressing their displeasure with the ending of Seong Gi-hun’s story, something that will probably gain more intensity upon discovering that creator Hwang Dong-hyuk drastically changed the course of events.
In a conversation with Variety, Dong-hyuk revealed that when he imagined the series, he had a vague idea of the story for seasons 2 and 3, with a very different ending in mind.
