Frictional Games teases new project
The Swedish studio Frictional Games, known for their work on Amnesia and SOMA, has recently released a trailer that has generated a lot of speculation. Titled Frictional_Next_Project.mp4, the video is short but has already sparked numerous theories about what the studio has in store.
A mysterious teaser
The teaser takes viewers on a slow tour through various intriguing locations. From an elegant hall to a scientific laboratory and hidden corridors, the footage is shrouded in darkness with eerie background sounds that resemble whispers or voices, creating the unsettling atmosphere characteristic of Frictional’s work.
Hotel Samsara and speculations
Of particular interest is the mention of Hotel Samsara, which has led to further speculation among fans. A website linked to the hotel features a form where visitors can submit their email addresses to receive updates. The enigmatic question posed on the site, “Are you ‘one among many’ or ‘the only one’?” has fueled even more curiosity as fans try to decipher its meaning.
While many believe the new project may be connected to the universe of SOMA due to its similar atmosphere and style, Frictional Games has yet to make any official announcements regarding platforms, release dates, or whether it is indeed a sequel to SOMA.
