During the presentation of Take-Two Interactive’s first quarter results in 2024, CEO Strauss Zelnick shared details about the performance of Rockstar Games’ games in the last three months. Zelnick highlighted the successful trajectory from GTA V to Red Dead Redemption 2.
Sales Performance:
Grand Theft Auto V maintains an average of approximately 5 million copies sold monthly. Total sales of the Grand Theft Auto series have now surpassed 405 million copies worldwide, with an increase of 5 million in the last three months. Grand Theft Auto V recently reached the milestone of 185 million copies sold.
In the last 3 months, Red Dead Redemption 2 sold an additional two million copies, bringing the total sales of the game to over 55 million worldwide. The Red Dead series has now sold over 79 million copies in total, an increase from the previous 75 million.
