Nintendo continues to completely dominate in Japan, to the point where it sometimes seems to be the only seller of games and consoles in the land of the samurais.
According to Famitsu, more than 53,000 Nintendo Switch consoles were sold in Japanese stores last week. This is more than double the almost 22,000 PS5 consoles sold by Sony. The Xbox Series sold over 2,000 units.
The list of best-selling physical games in Japanese stores also shows a strong dominance of Nintendo, with all of the top 10 being games for the Nintendo Switch.
Furthermore, all of these games are produced by Nintendo itself, which continues to enjoy phenomenal success with its latest console.
