Ubisoft announces major update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Ubisoft has revealed plans for a significant update to commemorate the second anniversary of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which was originally released in December 2023. The update is scheduled to launch on December 5, 2025, just in time for the upcoming release of the movie Avatar: Fire and Ash in theaters on December 19, 2025.
This update will bring a new perspective to the game, as players will now have the option to play in third person. In addition to this exciting feature, the update will also introduce a New Game + mode. The transition to third person required extensive reworking of animations, controls, audio, and camera by the Massive development team to ensure a seamless and immersive experience for players.
