James Gunn’s Reaction to Batman Game Rumors
James Gunn, one of the current leaders at DC Studios, took to social media to respond to rumors about an alleged Batman game in development, where players would control the Matt Reeves version of the famous billionaire.
After days of speculation surrounding a game based on The Batman, being produced at Warner Bros. Games and featuring the same Bruce Wayne portrayed by Robert Pattinson in the 2022 film, Gunn decided to address the rumors.
Using the social media platform Threads, Gunn was asked if there was any truth to the rumor, to which he responded, “unfortunately, no.” Gunn’s response was brief and to the point, but it effectively put an end to any hopes that may have arisen from the rumor.
DC Studios’ Vision for a Connected Universe
Over the years, there have been various rumors about Batman games, some of which turned out to be true, including numerous canceled projects. By publicly addressing this particular rumor, Gunn provides an official statement on the matter.
In addition to overseeing DC’s presence in cinemas, Gunn also plays a key role in guiding efforts in animation and games, as DC Studios aims to establish a connected universe of experiences.
