Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, acclaimed by millions as one of the best games ever and a prime example of Hideo Kojima’s cinematic approach, capable of captivating and thrilling its players.
Revitalizing the Series
Ten years after the departure of the series creator from Konami, the company is now making efforts to revitalize the Metal Gear series, with producers Noriaki Okamura and Yuji Korekado at the helm. Following the release of the HD collections and the remake of the third installment, there is potential for more remakes in the future.
Future Remakes
In a statement to Game Informer, the producers mentioned, “We are constantly considering the future of the Metal Gear series, but our current focus is on the present and on finding the best way to engage both existing and potential new fans. Our priority at the moment is to ensure the successful launch of Delta in the current generation. If there is demand from fans for more content after playing the game, we will explore the possibility of remaking other titles in the future. However, at this moment, our focus remains on delivering the best possible experience with Delta.”
While Konami has not confirmed any additional Metal Gear Solid remakes, their concentration on the current release suggests that they may already have plans for future projects in a similar vein, as seen with the Silent Hill franchise.
