Kraven: The Hunter
The movie Kraven: The Hunter arrived in theaters in December 2024, but similar to other Spider-Man spin-off films, Sony Pictures did not enjoy success. Kraven: The Hunter only grossed 57 million euros at the box office, less than half of Morbius and just over half of Madame Web. This helped reinforce a change in strategy at Sony Pictures to distance themselves from these characters within the Spider-Verse.
Success on Netflix
However, the film made its way to the Netflix service in several countries and has already managed to capture the attention of subscribers. Currently, Kraven: The Hunter is the 3rd most-watched film on Netflix, according to the list of the most popular movies globally on the platform. Although not available on Netflix in Portugal, it has stood out as a new addition in countries where it is present on the platform, led by The Electric State.
