Hideaki Itsuno, a living legend at Capcom, has announced that he will be leaving the company after more than 30 years of work. But fear not, Itsuno fans, as he will be starting at a new location in September, working on a new game. Although he’s keeping his new project under wraps for now.
Throughout his career, Itsuno has been a key player in the development of games like Street Fighter Alpha, Star Gladiator, Rival Schools, Capcom vs SNK, Power Stone, and Auto Modellista. Not to mention, he has taken on major roles in acclaimed series.
As the director behind Devil May Cry 3, Devil May Cry 4, Devil May Cry 5, Dragon’s Dogma, and its sequel released in the first half of 2024, Itsuno expresses his gratitude to all those who have played his games. He looks forward to continuing to create fun games that capture the attention of players worldwide.
