Capcom and Nintendo have announced during the latest Nintendo Direct a trio of Resident Evil games for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, including the highly anticipated title, Resident Evil: Requiem, scheduled for release on February 27, 2026.
Prior to the presentation, DuskGolem, a popular source within the horror community, had hinted at the production of a Nintendo Switch 2 version, a claim that was later confirmed during the broadcast on the 12th. Following the validation of their information, DuskGolem went on to reveal another piece of unverified information.
Through the social media platform X, this unofficial source disclosed that “Leon has not been left out of Resident Evil 9, with many fans caught by surprise with the trailer for Resident Evil Requiem. Additionally, there are two major events scheduled for the end of this month, a State of Play and the Tokyo Game Show.”
“Although I do not have access to Capcom’s marketing strategy, I believe we can expect to see more of Resident Evil Requiem in the coming weeks.”
For several months, DuskGolem has been alluding to Leon’s presence in Resident Evil Requiem as a seasoned soldier capable of handling threats in a manner that Grace cannot. Despite the reveal of Grace, DuskGolem has remained steadfast in their belief that Leon will eventually make an appearance in the game.
