Silent Hill 2 Remake: Performance Issues on PS5 Pro
The Silent Hill 2 remake, created by Bloober Team and released for PS5 and PC in October 2024, has faced criticism from players on the PlayStation 5 Pro due to performance issues.
Bloober Team’s Response
Despite the positive reception from fans, Bloober Team has stated that any improvements to the game’s performance on the PS5 Pro depend on Konami, the game’s publisher. CEO Piotr Babieno clarified that they are not in charge of addressing these issues.
Previously, there were indications that Bloober Team was collaborating with Konami to resolve the performance problems. However, the recent statement suggests that it is now up to Konami to handle all matters related to the Silent Hill 2 remake.
Similar to other Konami titles like Silent Hill f and Metal Gear Solid Delta, the Silent Hill 2 remake exhibits performance issues on the PS5 Pro, with instances where the game runs more smoothly on the standard PS5.
