Japan Game Awards Winners
In the latest edition of the Japan Game Awards, Metaphor: ReFantazio was named the best game of the year. This award was a recognition of the hard work put in by Atlus and Sega. Aside from Metaphor: ReFantazio, other standout titles included Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which received the Innovation Award. The French RPG developers at Sandfall were particularly thrilled by this accolade, given that their game was inspired by Japanese titles. Additionally, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry honored the Nintendo Switch 2 for its significant contribution to the growth of the Japanese video game industry, highlighting the positive impact of the console.

Indika, an indie game, was praised for its design, while the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket received the “Movement Award” at the Japan Game Awards. These recognitions underscore the diverse range of talents and contributions within the gaming industry.
