Microsoft’s Concerns about Sony’s Anti-Competitive Tactics
Microsoft has stated that it has been in talks with members of Congress in the United States regarding a possible investigation into what it deems as anti-competitive tactics by Sony in Japan, something it views positively.
David Cuddy from Microsoft, speaking to Axios Gaming, stated that Sony’s tactics certainly merit an investigation and they welcome the possibility of it.
“The anti-competitive tactics of Sony need to be discussed and we welcome further investigations to ensure equality in the video game industry.”
Axios also reports that the Microsoft team responsible for government affairs has been in discussions with members of Congress in the United States to help initiate this investigation into Sony, which holds 98% of the top market share in Japan.
