Video games are evolving to be more realistic and intricate, featuring graphics that demand a monitor with suitable specifications for full appreciation. AOC is at the forefront of this gaming revolution, with the AOC Gaming CQ32G4VE being one of their latest offerings. Boasting a 32-inch curved screen, this monitor aims to enhance the gaming experience by unlocking the full potential of games.
Screen Curvature Enhances Immersion
The AOC Gaming CQ32G4VE comes with a 1500R screen curvature, a resolution of 2560×1440, and a 16:9 aspect ratio, providing high image quality and crisp details. The Fast VA panel offers advantages such as high contrast ratios for deep blacks and bright whites, although colors may have less vibrancy compared to an IPS panel.

Impressive Image Quality
Upon evaluating the AOC CQ32G4VE screen, there were no complications in terms of image quality. Whether for work, gaming, or watching movies, the experience was top-notch, with rich colors that brought entertainment content to life. Users can adjust image quality through a system of five buttons for settings like brightness, contrast, and gamma, with presets available for different types of games to streamline customization.
I tested the monitor with various games like Rocket League, Apex Legends, The Sims, and Fortnite, all of which performed excellently. While definitive conclusions would require a comparison with another monitor, online tests showed no issues with uniformity, gradients, sharpness, gamma, or color reproduction.
Playing graphically more stimulating games, such as Resident Evil 4 Remake or Kunitsu Gami, the quality displayed is commendable, with every detail well defined and taken to an even more pronounced beauty when HDR is activated. The image is vivid with a wide range of colors, but of course, this is a personal opinion based on the handful of games I was able to experience. Results may vary depending on the game and settings chosen, but at no time did I feel disappointed throughout my tests.
The image quality is just one of the strengths of the AOC CQ32G4VE, as its performance is equally commendable. Its technical specifications include Adaptive Sync, 180 Hz refresh rate, and a response time of 0.5 ms: all these characteristics allow for a smoother experience, reducing screen tearing, screen stuttering, ghosting effects, blurring, among other issues that can detract from the gaming experience.
Playing some of the most popular multiplayer games of today – Fortnite, Fall Guys, Apex Legends, Rocket League – I could not report any issues with the monitor’s performance, even with high frame rates. The frantic action of the games ran smoothly, without any hiccups, even with eyes wide open looking for any breaks.
### The monitor applies to all players
Thus, the AOC Gaming CQ32G4VE can be applied to various types of different gamers: on one hand, it has the necessary power for multiplayer game fans where every millisecond can make the difference between victory and defeat; on the other hand, those who play more casually but do not discard a good visual experience will be rewarded with a rich image, colorful, and with good levels of contrast.
Regarding the “housing” itself, the monitor has a sober appearance, without major embellishments. Completely coated in black plastic, its design is quite minimalist, with the buttons mentioned above. There are no major logos or color schemes, which means that this is the ideal product for those aiming for something more discreet. For users who prefer a joystick, the buttons may initially be a small obstacle, but they will quickly be able to navigate through the various built-in menus.
It is worth noting that this was the first monitor I reviewed that required the use of extra material: although we have three screws included in the box, a personal screwdriver was needed to insert them, so it means you have everything you need before starting its assembly.
### Simplistic design, but lacks ergonomics
The big problem I can point out about the device is its lack of ergonomics, which is quite atypical in today’s technological landscape. As far as I can tell, it is impossible to raise it, lower it, tilt it, or rotate it, remaining static on the desk. I tried to manipulate it as much as possible (always with a lot of fear of damaging it, I admit) and at no time did it give in. This may be problematic for some users, as it may not allow them to adjust the monitor comfortably for long gaming sessions.
What more can we say about the AOC CQ32G4VE? I can only emphasize that it has two HDMI 2.0 ports, 1 DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, providing various connection options. As for the price, it may vary from store to store but is usually around 200 euros, positioning it as a mid-range product and accessible to a larger number of players.
## Evaluation of the AOC CQ32G4VE Monitor
In general, my experience with the AOC CQ32G4VE, even with the most basic tests I managed to perform, was positive. Are there better options on the market? Certainly, but this is a product that already allows you to take advantage of the complex games of today, with the extra curvature that provides so much immersion. As with any analysis, there is a huge subjective component and it is up to each user to determine for themselves if this is a product that meets the characteristics they are looking for in a monitor.
### Pros
