The prestigious Japan Game Awards recently honored Capcom’s Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak as the recipient of the Grand Award. This recognition is well-deserved, considering the immense popularity of the Monster Hunter series in Japan. Initially released on the Switch and PC last year, Sunbreak was later made available on other gaming platforms earlier this year.
In addition to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, the ceremony also highlighted ten other games with the Award for Excellence. Titles such as Hogwarts Legacy, God of War Ragnarok, Splatoon 3, Resident Evil 4, and Earth Defense Force 6 were among the recipients of this prestigious accolade. Furthermore, Nintendo’s Family Computer, known as Famicom in Japan and NES in the West, was honored with The Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award for its significant contribution to the growth of the Japanese game industry.
