Neil Druckmann, the leader of Naughty Dog, has reiterated that the studio is currently working on multiple undisclosed games, which played a significant role in his decision to step away from the production of the HBO series The Last of Us. During a recent interview where he discussed the potential for Intergalactic to become the most expensive project for Naughty Dog, Druckmann was questioned about his departure from the series and the moment he realized he needed to make that decision, prompting a conversation about his ongoing work at the studio.
Focus on Intergalactic
Druckmann revealed, “The largest project consuming most of my time is Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the upcoming major intellectual property from Naughty Dog and PlayStation. I believed that I could better fulfill all my duties by maintaining a higher-level role.” He acknowledged the challenges faced during the production of season 2 of The Last of Us series and acknowledged the importance of honoring his significant responsibilities at Naughty Dog.
Multiple Projects in Development
Despite his involvement in directing Intergalactic, Druckmann indicated his participation in various games, hinting at the existence of other undisclosed titles currently in development at Naughty Dog. While rumors have circulated regarding a new Uncharted game, official confirmation is still pending as the studio continues to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
