Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Struggles with Player Retention
The latest update to Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has not been able to address the serious player retention issues plaguing the game. Despite the introduction of a new character, Mrs. Freeze, in the second season update released on July 25, the maximum number of players on Steam has only reached 572.
Failed Attempt to Revive Interest
The Season 2 update was marketed with a new storyline featuring Victoria Frias, a version of Mrs. Freeze attempting to rescue her frozen wife from a collapsing planet. Despite Rocksteady’s efforts to attract players back with the addition of new content, the player base has continued to dwindle. The game, which reached a peak of 13,459 simultaneous players in February, has seen a significant decline, losing almost 95% of its users since launch.
Negative Feedback on Social Media
In addition to the declining player numbers, there has been a backlash on social media. Many players have criticized the game’s approach, claiming that the introduction of the new character feels forced and fails to engage the audience effectively.
Critical Moment for Rocksteady
Rocksteady now faces a crucial moment to rekindle interest in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and regain players’ trust in the studio.
