Netflix has officially announced that the upcoming second season of the animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will mark the show’s final chapter. Fans can anticipate the release of the new episodes on December 11, wrapping up the adventure that originally kicked off in 2023.
In this concluding season, viewers will witness Lara Croft embarking on a fresh expedition centered around stolen African Orisha masks. Teaming up with her companion Sam, the archaeologist sets out to reclaim these precious artifacts, leading them on a thrilling global quest that brings them face to face with a mysterious billionaire fixated on the masks. Along the way, the story delves into the historical and mythological significance of these ancient treasures.
Reprising her role as the voice of Lara Croft is Hayley Atwell, alongside Earl Baylon as Jonah. Joining the talented cast is Karen Fukuhara (known for The Boys and Suicide Squad), who will lend her voice to the character of Sam, originally introduced in the 2013 Tomb Raider game.
The Tomb Raider franchise continues to evolve and expand in exciting ways. Just recently, it was revealed that Sophie Turner is set to portray the iconic Lara Croft in an upcoming live-action series produced by Amazon, with the talented Phoebe Waller-Bridge on board as the creator and producer.
