Netflix has released a new video to promote the second season of its live-action adaptation of One Piece, teasing the Straw Hat crew’s arrival in the Grand Line. The premiere is scheduled for 2026.
In the video, the main actors reveal that this season will be more intense, with greater challenges and a focus on teamwork. Iñaki Godoy, who plays Monkey D. Luffy, says, “The story of One Piece just keeps getting bigger and better… This season was much more intense. You’ll want to see it, won’t you?”
The narrative will continue to explore the series’ main themes, such as the pursuit of dreams and the importance of friendship. Additionally, the season promises to introduce new characters and locations, including the arrival of Tony Tony Chopper, portrayed by Mikaela Hoover. The actress will be responsible for the character’s voice and facial capture, bringing it to life in a faithful manner to the original material.
Production Details and Future Plans
The production of the second season wrapped up in February 2025, with filming taking place in South Africa. Netflix has already renewed the series for a third season, set to begin filming in November 2025.
