The Netflix recently released the first part of the third season of The Witcher, the last one featuring Henry Cavill as the protagonist.
For some time now, we have known that Cavill would not continue to play Geralt in the series, being replaced by actor Liam Hemsworth. However, in a new marketing campaign carried out by Netflix, the platform decided to remind viewers that Cavill is present in this season.
In summary, a message was projected in various locations in the UK – The Shard, South Bank, Edinburgh Castle, and White Cliffs of Dover – where you can read the following:
“Yes, he is still Geralt in the third season.”
Although Cavill’s name is not mentioned, everything indicates that the message is dedicated to the actor. It is worth remembering that, during the Tudum event in Brazil, Henry Cavill couldn’t hold back tears when bidding farewell to the character, revealing in the past to be a big fan of the saga.
The transition from Cavill to Hemsworth was not well received by all viewers, causing a stir on social media. Do you think Henry Cavill’s departure could harm the series in the future?
