No Rest for the Wicked: A Shift Towards Action RPG
The highly anticipated new game from Moon Studios, creators of the popular Ori games, takes a departure from their usual Metroidvania style and instead focuses on delivering an action RPG experience. As the game prepares for early access on PC in April, key figures within the studio have been providing updates on the project.
Gennadiy Korol Discusses No Rest for the Wicked
Gennadiy Korol, the director of production and technology at Moon Studios and a co-founder of the indie studio, recently shared insights on No Rest for the Wicked through the social network X. Among the details revealed is the game’s ability to accommodate up to 3 additional players for a multiplayer experience, while also allowing solo offline play without the need for an internet connection.
Emphasis on Singleplayer Immersion
Despite its multiplayer capabilities, Korol emphasized that No Rest for the Wicked was designed with a strong focus on providing a seamless singleplayer experience. He reassured players that offline sessions would not be treated as inferior and highlighted the importance of ensuring gameplay remains optimal even in less-than-ideal connectivity situations. The upcoming early access phase, set to launch on April 18th, will prioritize the singleplayer aspect, with plans to unveil more details on the game’s future, including additional multiplayer modes, in due course.
