“Spider-Man: The Animated Series now available on Disney+”
The animated series “Spider-Man: The Animated Series” is now available on Disney+, in the form of the first two episodes out of ten, for more adventures of Peter Parker and the characters surrounding him, including the villain Norman Osborn.
Different version of Norman Osborn
Jeff Trammel from Marvel Studios told GamesRadar+ that this version of Osborn will be different from the usual, capable of surprising fans who think they already know what to expect.
“I wanted to introduce a Norman Osborn that feels like the Norman we know, but is also very different. I think all Spider-Man fans will watch the series and think ‘Oh, there’s Norman Osborn. That’s bad news’.”
Challenging preconceived ideas
However, Trammel says that the preconceived idea of what to expect from Norman will be challenged as the series unfolds, to the point where the viewer will start to question if it is indeed the Norman we know or if he will surprise throughout the episodes.
“For me, this was very important. I want you to think you know where this is going, maybe you’re right, maybe not, but the fact that you’re uncertain means the world to me.”
Trammell says they aim to surprise fans, keep them guessing about what will happen, and even believes Norman may win the hearts of some fans, who will be rooting for this version not to become the villain we know.
