Not your typical Soulslike game
While S-Game drew inspiration from Dark Souls games by FromSoftware, Phantom Blade Zero is not considered a Soulslike title. The team emphasized an electrifying combat system focused on combos, chaos, and excitement, aiming to deliver a rewarding experience without the punishing aspects commonly found in Soulslike games. Players can expect layered maps, various paths, and hidden secrets, but without respawning enemies or checkpoint interactions.
