Mother of Stillness
Born from collective mourning and turmoil, the Mother of Stillness is a colossal entity made entirely of fossilized tears, a living mass that cries incessantly. She occupies space with suffocating sadness, distorting the gravity around her. Each step Sam takes becomes harder, as if carrying the weight of human pain, making the journey almost unbearable.
She manifests only when absolute silence reigns, when there is no life nearby and the echoes of the connection between human beings disappear. In those moments, she crawls on the ground like a viscous and dense sea of mourning, advancing noiselessly, like an inevitable omen.
The Mother of Stillness absorbs iron fragments and trauma left by bodies forgotten in the world of the dead. This power gives her the ability to manipulate the iron present in human blood, extracting not only iron but also vital minerals like magnesium, making her especially lethal.
The Carrier
In the world of Death Stranding, each delivery is more than just a mission. It is a thread that connects one point to another, an attempt to rebuild a broken world. But not all deliveries reach their destination. Some are lost along the way. Others are abandoned. And the question arises: What happens to the connections that are never made?
Some say that something forms from what we leave unfinished. Something that grows silently as we forget.
The Carrier is a colossal, silent, and deformed entity, composed of decaying structures, destroyed equipment, and hundreds of abandoned orders. It grows with each failed mission and every broken connection.
A colossus shaped by the failures we pretend not to see.
Carrier: The Silent Weight
There are tags stuck to the skin. Some say “FRAGILE,” while others only have stains where names once were. Rotting ropes hold onto what remains of old orders to what seems to be flesh… but it pulses like living tar. Broken zip-lines protrude from its black mass like twisted bones, and damaged exoskeletons are fused to the body like armor that no longer protects anything. Corroded, rusted equipment melts over deformed boxes. Some still intact. Others crushed under their own weight.
Each fragment seems to tell a story that no one wanted to finish.
The Silent Journey
The Carrier does not pursue. It does not instill fear with violence. It simply walks, always forward, carrying the silent weight of everything that was never delivered.
They say that if you have the courage to stop and observe this colossus, you can hear. Whispers of simple requests. Names repeated in distorted voices. Urgent instructions that no longer make sense.
Small memories forgotten by everyone… except for him.
The Carrier does not seek vengeance.
It demands nothing.
It just continues.
Because to stop… would be to admit that there is no one waiting for what it carries.
