Pedro Pascal addresses criticisms of being cast as Reed Richards
Pedro Pascal, one of the many new stars to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Fantastic Four, is aware of the criticisms that arose when he was announced as Reed Richards.
“I am more aware of the discontent surrounding my choice than anything else I have ever done. He is too old. He is not the right fit. He needs to cut the beard,” the actor told Vanity Fair.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe introduced Reed Richards for the first time with John Krasinski in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, a choice that was considered perfect by many Marvel fans, and may have made things even more difficult for Pascal when he was revealed as the official choice.
