Persona 3 Reload: A Modernized Version
Persona 3 Reload is a highly anticipated project by Atlus fans that has finally come to fruition. This modern version incorporates everything that Atlus’ P Studio has learned since its original release in 2006, when the series was relatively unknown. Persona 3 established the foundation for Persona 4, which expanded the series’ audience, and even for Persona 5, which elevated its popularity to new heights. It is now time to showcase the love for the game that paved the way for this success.
The Tartarus
Persona 3 Reload can be seen as a nostalgic journey, as the original version marked the beginning of a new era for Atlus and set the stage for Persona 4 and eventually Persona 5. Much of the essence that made those two games iconic originated from Persona 3, which has now been updated with the advancements it helped to establish.
Refined Turn-based Combat
The combat system in Persona 3 Reload exemplifies the game’s updated and refined nature, simplifying processes and maintaining a good pace of gameplay. Similar to the graphics and general features, the combat system beautifully reflects its foundation in Persona 5. Atlus seems to have recognized that certain features were merely superficial additions to the depth of the experience and has created a remake that honors the original while offering a refined version.
