The Pokémon Trading Card Game is introducing a new rarity of cards with the Mega Evolution expansion, set to release towards the end of 2025.
New Rarity: Mega Ultra Rare
The “Mega Ultra Rare” cards have been discovered in the Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia sets in Japan, which have been available since this week in the Japanese version of the collectible card game.
Exclusive Golden Cards
As Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution hits shelves in Japan, players are excitedly opening packs containing cards of various rarities, including the new Mega Ultra Rare featuring creatures like Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir, which have already been shared on social media.
According to PokeBeach, these new golden cards are not alternate versions of existing cards in the set, but rather completely new cards with exclusive art for this special golden edition.
Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution is set to arrive in the western market on September 26.
