Helldivers 2: The Growing Popularity
Helldivers 2 is experiencing a surge in popularity, attracting an increasing number of players. However, with more soldiers joining the game, there is added pressure on the systems and servers. Resolving these issues is not as simple as just purchasing more servers.
The Complexity of the Problems
Johan Pilestedt, the creative director of Helldivers 2, addressed a comment on social network X, which was later deleted but captured by PCGamesN. He explained that the challenges affecting the game are not easily resolved.
“It’s not a matter of money or acquiring more servers. It’s a matter of technical work. We need to optimize the game code as we are encountering various significant limitations,” he stated.
Within the last 24 hours, Helldivers 2 has reached over 411 thousand simultaneous players on Steam, marking its highest number since the launch on February 8th. Despite this success, login issues continue to impact numerous players.
