The studio in Liverpool, UK, will be closed and all employees laid off. According to the territory’s law, it is required to give advance notice to begin the consultation process with the employees who will be losing their jobs.
The teams in Stockholm and Malmo, Sweden, will also be losing employees as Avalanche aims to adapt to its needs. This seems to suggest that the cuts are closely related to the cancellation of Contraband, which was being developed for Microsoft.
