John Rambo is Back!
Guess who’s making a comeback? That’s right, John Rambo is back with a new movie that focuses on events before the first film in the series, just as Sylvester Stallone wanted.
A Blast from the Past
Scheduled to start filming in October 2025 in Thailand, the new Rambo movie will be directed by Jalmari Helander. According to Deadline, it will tell the story of a young John Rambo during the Vietnam War.
Although Stallone’s wishes are finally coming to life, the actor himself is not involved in this project. Details about the cast are still under wraps, so we don’t know yet who will portray the young Rambo.
Since its debut in 1982 with “Rambo: First Blood,” the franchise has spawned 5 movies, with the latest being “Rambo: Last Blood” in 2019. After over 15 years of talks about a movie focusing on a young Rambo, it seems like it’s finally becoming a reality. Stay tuned for more updates!
