Favorite Rockstar Games
In a recent interview with IGN, Houser was asked about his favorite Rockstar game, to which he responded by naming Red Dead Redemption 2. He described it as the best achievement in narrative in an open world, with thematic consistency and an understanding of how games are designed to take players on an emotional journey. He also highlighted GTA 4 for evolving the way narratives are told, and GTA 5 for its innovative use of three characters.
According to Houser, Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto 3, and Bully are also significant games as they introduced new intellectual properties, with GTA 3 feeling almost like a new game due to the innovations brought to it.
