Microsoft Gaming is currently working on three prototypes for new Xbox controllers, according to a well-known unofficial source within the Xbox community.
Jez Corden from Windows Central reports that Microsoft is developing a controller that will be publicly revealed as Xbox Elite 3, a controller with improved connection, dynamic triggers, and haptic feedback in some games.
Corden states that this premium controller is being designed with durability in mind, with enough resistance to withstand the long gaming sessions of the most dedicated players.
Furthermore, Microsoft is also, according to Corden, producing a new Xbox controller with an LED bar, better Bluetooth connection, and technology designed to optimize sessions through xCloud. This will be a cheaper controller, intended for those who like to carry a controller with them and play through the cloud.
Corden also mentioned that there is a third controller in production, codenamed “Sebile,” which will have new vibration technology to alert players when there is too much latency or poor connection, with a dedicated button to indicate that you are playing through the cloud.
At the moment, we do not have official information from Microsoft, but it is not unreasonable to think that an Xbox Elite 3 controller is in the works or a next-generation Xbox controller.
