SNK has announced that it will implement rollback netcode in Samurai Shodown later than originally planned. Instead of the current spring, the new forecast indicates that the feature will arrive by the end of next summer.
The company stated that they faced unexpected issues and various difficulties that hindered the work on this functionality, leading to the decision to postpone its arrival.
SNK mentioned that the first beta, where the community had the opportunity to experience Samurai Shodown with rollback netcode implemented, helped gather valuable feedback. However, the added difficulties made it challenging to introduce the feature within the announced timeframe.
Along with an apology to all community members who are disappointed with this delay, SNK has changed the arrival of this update for Samurai Shodown to the end of summer.
This means it will not be arriving in the first half of June and may only be available in the first half of September.
