The analysis, conducted by the SalesNow DB platform, gathered data from June 2024 to June 2025, covering over five million Japanese companies. The findings reveal the average annual income per employee based on public tax and commercial registration data.
Top Companies and Average Salaries
Sony Group leads the list with an average annual salary of approximately 11.13 million yen, equivalent to €64,565. Following closely are Bandai Namco Holdings and Nintendo, with average salaries of €63,510 and €55,830, respectively. Other companies like Sega Sammy Holdings, Capcom, Koei Tecmo, Konami, and CyberAgent also feature on the list, with average annual salaries ranging between 7 and 9 million yen, surpassing the national Japanese average of around 4.26 million yen per year or €24,700.
