Stardew Valley Updates Paused Due to Creator’s Focus on New Game
Stardew Valley will remain without updates and news until Eric Barone, its creator and the sole person working on the game, finishes his next game, called Haunted Chocolatier.
Barone’s Commitment to Haunted Chocolatier
Since 2021, Barone has been working on Haunted Chocolatier without pressure or concerns about releasing this new effort, but still wants to finish the project to launch it. Therefore, Stardew Valley will remain in its version 1.6 for the foreseeable future.
Barone expresses his love for Stardew Valley and concern for fans, which leaves him worried about the state of the game and our satisfaction with it, but also means that he is being pulled away from Haunted Chocolatier. In order to not continue with his attention divided, he will focus on the current project.
Barone believes that Stardew Valley is in a good place, whether for veterans or new players, so he will dedicate himself to finishing Haunted Chocolatier, especially because he has often had to redo work that has been stagnant for months.
