Analysis of User Ratings for Starfield
Starfield has become one of the most popular games in recent memory, achieving great success for both Microsoft and Bethesda.
However, when looking at user reviews on the Steam platform, the space RPG falls short compared to other games from the studio, such as Fallout 76. It should be noted that Fallout 76 faced numerous issues upon its initial release, including bugs and performance problems.
Games like Fallout 4, Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Morrowind, and Fallout 3 have received higher ratings based on player feedback, as shown by aggregated scores on Steam DB.
As of the time of writing, the aggregated user rating for Starfield stands at 71.72% on Steam DB, slightly below Fallout 76, which sits at 71.75%.
Comparison to Other Bethesda Titles
For comparison, Fallout 4 holds a rating of 81.88%, Skyrim at 93.88%, and Fallout 3 at 78.52%. Additionally, The Elder Scrolls Oblivion from 2007 boasts a higher rating than Starfield at 93.76%, along with Morrowind from 2002 at 93.14%.
Nevertheless, these ratings do not diminish the success of Starfield; Bethesda recently revealed that the game attracted 10 million players within the first three weeks of its release, marking it as the studio’s most successful launch to date.
