Stellar Blade was released for PC on June 11, 2025, marking another successful launch by the Korean company Shift Up. The game’s arrival on the platform is part of the company’s strategy to reach a wider audience with its intellectual properties.
A Steam Hit
Following its initial release on PlayStation 5 in April 2024, where it achieved sales of over 2 million units, Stellar Blade quickly became a hit on Steam for PC. Within just 3 days of its release on the platform, the game sold 1 million units, surpassing expectations and captivating players with its highly sensual action gameplay set in a post-apocalyptic world.
Despite the one-year delay in its PC release, Stellar Blade’s popularity only continued to grow, with nearly 200,000 simultaneous players engaging with the game. This made it the best debut for a single-player game released by Sony Interactive Entertainment on PC.
Prior to the surge in interest for Stellar Blade on PC, Shift Up had already confirmed plans for a sequel, citing the positive performance on the PS5 as a motivating factor for further development.
