Switch 2: Bringing the Heat with High-Quality Graphics
So, have you heard the news about the Switch 2? It’s flexing its muscles and showing off some serious high-quality graphics with the upcoming release of Resident Evil Requiem. Capcom dropped the bomb during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct, announcing that the game will hit the shelves on February 27, 2026, across multiple platforms like Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
A Close Look at the Comparison with the PC Version
Digital Foundry did their thing and compared the Switch 2 trailer with the PC version. They pointed out that the Switch 2 version is using global illumination with ray tracing (RTGI), which is pretty impressive. Sure, there are some visual compromises like lower resolution shadows and reflections, but overall, the artistic vibe of the game remains intact. And guess what? Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village are also getting the Switch 2 treatment.
